About Us
Karate Dantai Marienberg e.V. is a martial arts association dedicated to traditional karate and budo values. Founded in Marienberg with branches in Limbach and Olbernhau, the dojo emphasizes discipline, respect, and lifelong practice. Central to its philosophy is the Dojo Kun, five guiding principles handed down from Sakugawa Kanga in the 18th century, rooted in Buddhist teachings: strive for character perfection, follow truth, cultivate the mind, respect etiquette, and avoid arrogance. The school offers karate training, graduations, and study of Shaolin traditions, fostering both technical skill and personal development.
