We are a traditional association dedicated to Jiu Jitsu — we live it, evolve it, and honor its Japanese roots while practicing modern self-defense.

Founded on June 19, 1982, by passionate martial artists, the Jiu Jitsu Union continues their legacy. As a member of the umbrella organization for Budo disciplines, our clubs are connected to the State Sports Federation of North Rhine-Westphalia (LSB NRW) and Sporthilfe e.V., giving them access to various support programs.

Our association is open to all nonprofit martial arts clubs — we’d be delighted to welcome you to our community.
