The dojo also teaches traditional Jodo, a martial art that involves using a wooden staff to combat a sword fighter, and emphasizes body control, distance perception, and precise reactions. Modern swordsmanship combines techniques from historical European fencing with elements of modern martial arts, promoting fitness and self-discipline. Tai Chi, a traditional Chinese movement practice, enhances flexibility, balance, and overall well-being through slow, flowing movements.
