Okinawa Köln Dojo practices traditional Karate in the style of Kishaba Juku Shorin Ryu, which originated in Okinawa. This style is a development of the Matsubayashi-Ryu, a traditional Okinawa style. The Dojo focuses on efficient body mechanics, natural movements, self-defense, and personal development. The training is suitable for all ages and levels, and the atmosphere is friendly and non-competitive. The Dojo is led by Prof. Katsuhiko Shinzato from Okinawa and Borut Mauhler from Ljubljana, who is considered to be the most advanced student of Shinzato Sensei.
