Aikido im PSV Essen e.V.

Tendoryu Aikido Essen is part of PSV Essen e.V., founded in 2000 by Michael Wefers (5th Dan). Tendoryu Aikido was developed by Shimizu Sensei, a direct student of Ueshiba Morihei, and is known worldwide as the “Heavenly Way” style. The school emphasizes harmony, discipline, and technical precision, with regular seminars in Germany and Japan. Michael Wefers began training in 1983 and has studied extensively with Shimizu Sensei and Rainer Brauhardt, bringing authentic Tendoryu instruction to Essen. Classes are open to all levels, offering a path of personal growth through traditional Aikido practice.
