About Us

The dojo, named Wu Tai Chi Chuan, is a traditional Chinese martial art that focuses on inner energy and balance. It was developed by Wu Jianquan in the early 20th century and is based on the eight principles of Tai Chi. The style is characterized by its slow and flowing movements, which are designed to promote relaxation, balance, and inner peace. The dojo teaches various forms, including the Wu-style push hands, sword forms, and staff forms, which are used to develop coordination, balance, and inner power. The practice of Wu Tai Chi Chuan is said to have numerous health benefits, including reducing stress, improving balance, and increasing flexibility. The dojo is led by Bettina T\u00f6nnesmann, who has been practicing the Wu-style for many years and has taught it to students of all levels. She offers group and private lessons, as well as workshops and seminars, and has experience in working with patients with cancer and other health conditions.
