Shorinji Budo Union Deutschland e.V.

The Shorinji Budo Union Germany e.V. is a martial arts federation focused on Karate Do, Kobudo, and Tai Chi Chuan. Established in August 2008, it has grown to include six national associations, along with friendly connections to two Greek and three French associations. Regular meetings allow these associations to exchange knowledge through seminars and tournaments in Karate Do, Kobudo, and Tai Chi Chuan. The Shorinji Ryu style, including Kobudo and Tai Chi Chuan, was passed down from O'Sensei Kim, 10th Dan Hanshi, to his student Sensei Richard Lee, 9th Dan Hanshi, and later to Sensei Bill Marsh, 9th Dan Hanshi. Following the passing of Shihan Marsh, Kyoshi Axel Roth, 7th Dan, became the head of the style. The dojo practices traditional Karate Do based on the principles of the old masters from Okinawa and Japan.
