The Karate Academy Shotokan Lübeck e.V. was founded in 2020 out of passion and love to pass on knowledge and skills. The classes are led by an experienced trainer and competitor, who has been awarded multiple medals. Groups are organized by age and progress, ensuring that everyone finds something suitable for themselves. The dojo emphasizes values such as strength, self-control, perseverance, concentration, meditation, discipline, and respect. Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of modern karate, stated that karate is about avoiding violence and that true strength lies in the ability to remain calm and composed.
