ΜΑΧΗΤΕΣ ΠΕΡΑΜΑΤΟΣ

Hellenic Shitokai Karate-do, based in Perama, Attica, is the official Greek branch of the World Shito-Ryu Karate-do Federation (W.S.K.F.). The organization preserves and promotes the authentic art of Shito-Ryu Karate-do, founded by Kenwa Mabuni (1889–1952), who trained under masters of both Shuri-te and Naha-te traditions. Mabuni established Shito-Ryu in the 1930s, blending kata from multiple Okinawan lineages, and his legacy spread worldwide through the All Japan Karate-do Shitokai and later the W.S.K.F.. Today, Hellenic Shitokai offers certified examinations, belt recognition, and international cooperation, while upholding the values of discipline, respect, and personal development. With strong ties to European branches, the association represents Greece in global Shito-Ryu events and continues Mabuni’s mission of cultivating character and contributing to society through karate.
