About Us
The Sussex Sword Academy (SSA), founded in 1997, is dedicated to studying, practicing, promoting, and reviving European martial arts. Its primary aim is to inspire appreciation and enjoyment of this dynamic discipline, which is both a science and an art, as well as a contemporary martial system. The academy teaches various styles, including Broadsword, Longsword, Rapier, and Unarmed combat, inviting individuals to explore the world of historical European martial arts.
