About Us
Leicester Aikikai is a dojo dedicated to teaching traditional Aikido in a welcoming and friendly environment. Established in May 2013, the dojo has attracted practitioners of all ages and has hosted various guest instructors from different Aikido associations. The dojo is affiliated with the United Kingdom Aikikai, ensuring that all kyu grades are recognized nationally and dan grades internationally. The focus is on using the opponent's strength against them, making Aikido a non-competitive martial art that promotes personal development and fitness.
