Charlie Collins

Sensei Charlie Collins, a 4th Dan, has been a European and World champion in Kumite from childhood through to senior levels across various governing bodies. He began his journey at the East London Wado Kai Karate club at the age of 6, training under Sensei Eric Krappinger. After moving to Essex, he joined UKA and transitioned to Shito Ru under Sensei Ian Cuthbert, achieving his 1st Dan in 2007 and 4th Dan in 2023. His most cherished memory is winning the WUKF World Championships in the heavyweight cadet category, a moment that filled him with pride and determination. Sensei Charlie emphasizes the invaluable life skills gained through Karate, particularly the dedication and determination to overcome obstacles and pursue aspirations.
