About Us
Tetsushinkan Aikido Dojo is a martial arts training center that teaches Aikido, Kenjutsu (sword techniques), and Kashima No Tachi. The dojo's approach is unique and integrated, combining sword and empty-handed techniques into a single whole. Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that uses techniques combined with energy to control and redirect an opponent's force. It was developed by Morihei Ueshiba around 1930 and is characterized by its fluid and dynamic movement. The dojo's style is influenced by Inaba Sensei of The Shiseikan Dojo in Tokyo. The teaching team includes Sensei Paul Smith as the lead instructor, along with several assistant and associate instructors with varying levels of experience.
