About Us
Mei Quan Academy of Tai Chi specializes in teaching Tai Chi and Qigong to students of all levels, with a highly effective beginners’ program developed from years of experience in London. Training combines warm-ups, conditioning, Tai Chi forms, Qigong sequences, partner exercises, and meditation to build health, balance, coordination, and awareness of body energy. Beginners start with the Beijing 24-Step Short Form before progressing to longer forms, while Qigong practice includes the Eight Pieces of Silk Brocade and 28-Step set. Partner drills such as Sticking, Yielding, and Centring enhance sensitivity and cooperation. The academy provides a supportive environment for personal growth, relaxation, and advanced study through workshops and extended training.
