About Us
Harpenden JKA is a friendly and successful Shotokan karate club led by Sensei Miranda Giles, 3rd dan and triple gold medal-winning kumite champion.
Affiliated to the world-famous JKA, we take our karate seriously and that includes having fun. We’re an open and welcoming karate club, properly and efficiently run with the interests, welfare and enjoyment of our students our top priority.
We’re committed to sharing the benefits of karate to everyone, regardless of their age or ability. We run beginners classes for children (from age 5) and adults. We also welcome people wishing to return to karate. Full details are on our website, including how to book your free trial.
