Simon Coope Karate School

Simon Coope Karate School (SCKS) is a traditional Wado-Ryu karate club in Leicestershire, founded in 2004 by Sensei Simon Coope. With a strong family ethos, the school welcomes children, adults, and families, offering training that builds confidence, discipline, and life skills. SCKS has produced over 200 black belts and numerous English and British champions, with several members representing England internationally, including in the Olympic-recognised national team. While competition success is part of its legacy, the school’s core focus is teaching authentic Wado-Ryu karate with passion and integrity, providing students opportunities to train with world-class instructors both in the UK and abroad.
