Kobukan Karate Club

Kobukan Karate Club is a friendly and well-established club practicing traditional Shotokan Karate as taught by world-renowned karate master Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa 10th Dan and his son Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa. The club was founded in Windsor in 1973 by Kyoshi Roger Carpenter, 8th Dan, Chief Instructor of SKKIF, and has been teaching traditional Shotokan karate to many hundreds of students in the Windsor area for over 30 years. The club welcomes students from 13 years upwards and believes that anyone can practice karate and benefit from its unique approach to fitness, coordination, flexibility, and self-defence. The club teaches a variety of karate styles, including kata, kihon, kumite, and karate applications (bunkai).
