Saorsa Swords

At Saorsa we offer regular classes in HEMA - Historical European Martial Arts. HEMA is the practice and study of European fighting techniques. We work from old textbooks to teach our speciality weapon: the Scottish Broadsword, a weapon used in Scotland for hundreds of years. Come join our classes, suitable for beginners, run by Ben Hamilton and Victoria Clow & discover Scotland's martial history for yourself.
We also run Experience Days which include; a basic broadsword lesson, a lesson in putting on the féileadh-mór aka the great kilt, weapon demonstrations & weapon handling. The events can be tailored to suit different crowd sizes, time frames & can be changed to suit your needs.
