University of Staffordshire KDS (Karate-Do Shotokai)

The Karate-Do Shotokai (KDS) is an organisation that practices and teaches Orthodox Shotokan Karate as taught by Mitsusuke Harada Sensei MBE, a direct student of Gichin Funakoshi O'Sensei. The club aims to learn the martial art of karate that is effective in a real situation, and its training sessions are for adults only, allowing members to reach their full potential in a friendly and learning environment. The club teaches karate in a way that is not dependent on physical fitness, allowing each person to work at their own fitness level and slowly build up from there. The club teaches Orthodox Shotokan Karate.
