Yorkshire Aikikai

Welcome to the Yorkshire Aikikai website! We are two Yorkshire-based groups training in traditional Aikido. Aikido was created by Morihei Ueshiba in Japan, focusing on both physical and spiritual development. The Aikikai Foundation, the Japanese headquarters for Aikido, is located in Hombu Dojo, Tokyo. The British Aikido Federation, founded in 1968, was the first organization accredited by the World Aikido Headquarters in Japan to teach Aikido in Britain. Sensei Ken Marsden, a recognized Shihan, leads our training sessions, emphasizing the harmonious spirit of Aikido.
