About Us
AVT is the undisputed #1 MMA gym in Yorkshire. Home to champions in MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, BJJ, submission grappling, wrestling, and others styles.
We train everyone from beginners to professional fighters right up to UFC level. Classes start from age 4 and we have members up to 60 years old!
After teaching at various different gyms and coaching his own fight team in Doncaster – the original ‘Asylum’ – AVT was formed when UFC veteran and BJJ black belt Danny Mitchell decided to relaunch as Asylum Vale Tudo by bringing together his Caged Steel Fight Team in Dewsbury, and Asylum Fight Team in Thorne.
